Custom yard art
This space called for striking easy to maintain landscaping.
David Harber's artistic response centred around arresting yard art perfectly placed within strong landscaping ideas.
A single rill, edged by trees and hedges, climbs steps and points the eye at a Portal sculpture made from randomly cut bronze petals oxidised to a muted verdigris.
In between the petals are gaps, allowing light to pass through and also allowing sight of the inner surface of the petals - 23¾ gold leaf - as it glints in sunlight.
“No one was ever quite sure what they were looking at” explains David, highlighting the sense of intrigue within strong design at the heart of his vision here.
