A hat trick for David Harber at Chelsea
At the Chelsea Flower Show that is...
For the third year running, David Harber was awarded an RHS Sundries Trophy at the London, England flower show at RHS Chelsea 2009.
The trophy was given to just 4 out of about 300 candidates for excellence of presentation at the Flower Show.
The award winning stand, designed once again by Christine Popplewell of Echinops Garden Design, is elegant and classic in concept.
An armillary sphere and a Berosus sundial flank a rill containing three aligned water features, leading the eye to a Petal Water Wall beyond.
David Harber was also awarded a Certificate of Merit at the Flower Show.
David Harber also launched two new garden features at the Show:
the Moon Dial, which tells the time at night; and the Dark Planet Fountain, a water features version of our very popular Dark Planet garden sculpture.
The Moon Dial, shown left, tells the time on the night of a full moon and on the three days before and after as the moon waxes and wanes by using nine different timescales etched onto the surface of a shimmering silver orb.
The Moon Dial can also tell the time by day.

The new Dark Planet water feature, behind the Chalice in the picture to the right, is introduced by popular request.
Clients have asked for the Dark Planet sculpture to be made into a water feature since we introduced it into our range.
At last we have overcome the practical issues of adding the dynamic
element of water whilst maintaining the integrity of the original sculpture.
