RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2017

At the celebrated RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London, England, RHS Director General Sue Biggs picked David Harber's 2017 Chelsea Flower Show Garden as her favourite out of all the Five Star Trade Stand award winners at the show.

The David Harber stand was a contemporary English garden designed by Nic Howard to create a backdrop to the fabulous sculptures.

The horizontal planes of the garden were dark, moody and tactile with charred composite deck, dark grey porcelain and characterful English clay pavers.

In contrast, the vertical elements of the garden were fresh white, with a stunning contemporary garden shelter amongst multi stem silver birch trees. The planting was soft and textured with a beautiful combination of fresh foliage colours and glistening white flowers giving a truly immersive garden experience.

Eclipse sculputure, new for RHS Chelsea Flower Show

The stand features two new sculptures: Quiver, with flame shaped leaves of mirrored stainless steel designed to reflect and distort sky, land and foliage; and Eclipse, inspired by David Harber's imminent 20th wedding anniversary and made up of interlocking rings in sapphire blue coated stainless steel that support each other and work in harmony from any angle.

Other pieces nestling amongst plants on the stand including a striking Filium garden sphere with a harmonious green interior and a Bronze Wave water wall in mirror-polished stainless steel with verdigris bronze waves set into the surface.
