Eveque

A tribute to the buttresses of medieval cathedrals, Eveque takes its name from the French word for ‘bishop’, its form echoing the distinctive shape of a bishop’s mitre. A dynamic interplay of the thoughtfully positioned bronze and stainless steel arcs invites you to move around the sculpture, revealing something new from every angle. The layers of texture, light and reflection imbue a sense of depth and dimension. Mirror-polished edges catch the light, bringing the surrounding garden into the sculpture and creating a sense of wonder.

Design details

The body of this contemporary garden sculpture is made of verdigris bronze panels with fretwork window voids, while the edges are mirror-polished stainless steel. The steel is a contrasting material to the bronze and playfully reflects the landscape surrounding it.

The verdigris finish has an artisanal-like texture which creates a beautiful backdrop for plants and attractive layering alongside other landscaping materials. Paired with spotlights, Eveque is illuminated at night through its fretwork windows.

Product information

Eveque is supplied with a bespoke baseplate, designed to be securely fixed to a smooth, level foundation pad positioned just below ground level. This allows the base of the sculpture to be discreetly concealed beneath gravel or planting, creating the illusion that Eveque emerges naturally from the landscape.

The sculpture can also be positioned above water, with the baseplate adapted to suit the specific setting and installation requirements.

Over time, the bronze with develop a natural distinctive patina that enhances the character of Eveque. Regular care will help protect and preserve these finishes. We recommend cleaning Eveque at least once a year with warm water and a soft cloth to gently remove any accumulated dirt or debris. To clean the stainless-steel faces, rinse them with a hose first to remove any dust or sand particles, followed by a clean and polish with glass cleaner. Abrasive products should be avoided, as they may damage the delicate finishes. Maintenance instructions will be issued on installation.
