Stainless Steel Sculpture
Tough, durable and corrosion resistant, a sculpture shaped from stainless steel will last you a lifetime. When polished, the metal reflects the environment around it, whatever the weather. Using these reflective qualities in gardens and outdoor spaces is a key feature of David Harber. It has a glistening lightness and a contemporary elegance which will gives any sculpture a modern edge.

Stainless steel garden sculpture questions
More contemporary than traditional metal garden sculptures, stainless steel will bring a modern and minimalist feel to a garden design. It works well for abstract sculpture and bespoke garden statues because it’s so tough. It’ll last a lifetime.
Stainless steel is the hardest material we work with. It’s tough, durable and corrosion resistant. We use high quality marine grade stainless steel for almost all our sculptures. In harsh environments, when sculptures are located near the sea for example, we use the extra corrosion resistant duplex grade as extra insurance against the effect of salt water.
Stainless steel generally doesn’t develop any sort of patina like other metals such as bronze or copper. But it does need regular cleaning to retain its shine. We recommend using warm, clean water and a soft cloth. Stay away from chemical solutions and abrasive material as this will scratch and damage the surface.
Absolutely. Engraved text in stainless steel will appear crisp, clean and legible for many years.
