FLO
Where classic meets contemporary, FLO offers a refined aesthetic that complements any outdoor area, elevating the surrounding space into a realm of beauty and inspiration. As with all David Harber creations, the artwork draws inspiration from organic forms found in nature but FLO is the first David Harber piece to feature our innovative hot patination finish: a technique which used precise brushwork and heat to create a rich tapestry of colors and hues. FLO is limited-edition of just 25 pieces.

Design details

Formed bronze material shapes FLO into a fluid, graceful silhouette. Its understated design echoes the essence of quiet luxury, inspiring a deep connection to the present moment.
FLO’s captivating form invites playful interaction, encouraging viewers to explore its beauty from various angles. As they move, FLO’s dynamic shape unfurls, revealing a fascinating interplay of opposing forms. At the heart of FLO lies a subtle through-hole, offering a fresh perspective and a portal to the ever-changing landscape beyond.

Hot patination introduces an artisanal touch to the finishing process and a luxurious and tactile appearance to FLO. This unique method is applied by hand, ensuring that every piece is a one-of-a-kind treasure.

Painstakingly applied by hand, a hot patination finish exudes an air of instant maturity and timelessness, as if the elements have lovingly etched their mark over time.

The exquisite 23¾ carat gold gilding along its interior and exterior edges gives FLO a radiant glow during the day, while internal lighting unveils its three-dimensional elegance at dusk, casting natural shadows and depth.
“My inspiration originates from the natural world, where I draw ideas from pebbles, trees, planets, fallen leaves, and landscape forms. I strive to evoke these natural objects into our nature inspired sculptures to encourage reflection on the natural world as an endless masterpiece, shaped continually by natural processes and natural materials.”
Lior Kristal, Design Director at David Harber.
An innovative addition to the company’s portfolio, FLO draws its inspiration from the organic forms found in nature, a theme central to all David Harber works of art. The talented team at David Harber’s Oxfordshire workshop seamlessly blend craft with manufacturing, utilizing their skills and experience to create this truly collaborative piece of contemporary art.

Product information
FLO is supplied with a base plate. However, the client will need to provide a smooth and level stone or concrete pad positioned just below ground level for the plate to attach to. Stainless steel bolts are then resin-fixed into holes and drilled into the stone or concrete pad to provide a secure fixing. It is possible to supply FLO with an LED light for which an electrical supply will need to emerge up through the centre of the concrete pad. We supply the driver for the LED lighting.
Installation and delivery are included in the price for UK commissions, and overseas shipping quotes can be obtained and charged at cost.
The finishes will exhibit some natural weathering with age. However, periodic cleaning will help preserve its beauty. We would recommend cleaning it at least once a year but only with warm water and a soft cloth to remove any detritus. Use of any abrasive cleaner will damage the finish and must be avoided.
The gilding should be washed gently with a garden hose. A high-pressure hose should be avoided at all costs. Maintenance instructions will be issued on installation.
